Wario for Wii , Warioland Shake It

Wario is one of my fave Nintendo characters, he is so gross, big and funny that it is impossible not to laugh when you see him in action.
He has a new game for Wii and I found a very very shocking trailer, you have to watch it completely until the very end ( it is quite short ) and you will understand my surprise.
Check it here,

New DS! DS-i
In an event today Nintendo has announced a new model of DS, called DS-i with a good number of improvements, such as two cams, of 3 megapixels, one inside and one on the outside. It has bigger screens, a new operating system, an SD slot, applications to edit pictures, to play music, and it is thinner and lighter.
The good thing is... that the all the games will also work on the normal DS, so no need to worry about getting this new one : )

Surprising Thing in the Morning
Sometimes things happen that give us a good surprise.
This morning when I opened the door of the house to go out to the supermarket, I found the following on the doormat....
Funny thing, I was all surprised, I read the text on the dog and it says,
emafesa (which is the water company) Te trae a casa, Gratis,
La Voz de Galicia (which is the main newspaper here), durante dos meses.
Amazing!! newspaper free for two months, they even put a fee toll phone number for people who has questions or don't want to continue getting the newspaper. This is really good news.
Actually, I was expecting to see our street all messed with works of the water company :) but that was not the case.
Really nice surprise today.

The Loneliness & Jimmy Bondoc
Tuesday, September 23, 2008

These days are not being good no matter how you look at it. Being at home it is quite of a torture, so many memories.... the tv shows, the room, the food, every thing is a memory, every corner is full of memories...
Awwww, I try to kill time in the best way I know... so I am listening to a lot of music, in this moments I find music very appealing... and especially OPM. I do like it. So lucky me I have been listening to a Filipino singer that I discovered in an Asian music blog.
I love it and his name is Jimmy Bondoc.
To my surprise he has a song called Grow Old with You. That song really brings me memories too.. from Chicago, I do remember the day when my wife told me about it. About the movie where Adam Sandler sings that song in the plane... .so extremely romantic, I really made the idea on my mind, even though I did not watch the movie....
On this day I want to dedicate the same song to my lovely wife, because I love her even more this day, and all of these days that we've been together are making me fall in love even more. This is for her, because I want to grow old with her for all my life.

Bye Bye Ubuntu, Welcome to my life Debian !
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Ok, this is it. Last Sunday I had enough of Ubuntu for a long long time. I am still thankful to the OS that introduced me to the Unix world. I am so glad I left the Windows thing, that I still wonder how come I did not go to Unix before. It is really suited for the geek in me, hehe. Ubuntu was really good, I liked its simplicity, every thing was there at your hand, so intuitive, it was easy to see that it was really suited for beginners, as well as more advanced users, it was really looking perfect to me. I customized it in so many ways, made so many good mofications. I was a happy man. But then the last release came, the infamous Hardy Heron, the release 8.04..... Considering how 7 is one of my fave numbers I should have stayed in my Gutsy version, 7.10, but I did not... I decided to update, despite having such an awful experience a few months ago when I tried the beta of 8.04. Still, I thought that those errors would have been gone in the last release.... How wrong I was... not only the errors were there... but it screwed my graphical interface, man, that was too much to stand. I decided I had enough of Ubuntu. Besides, why is it using beta software like the Firefox Beta3... I had been reading about Ubuntu's father and inspiration, Debian. A way more stable Linux distribution that had been running from the Linux begining. I was reading and I found some things that I really liked. This was one of them...
I love this logo. I have been watching Naruto lately with Lhot, and the symbol of Konoha, Naruto's village is quite similar to this one. But as Lhot pointed out, the spiral goes in the other direction. I do like it. I even like the name, debian.

If you check the definition of debian in the wikipedia, you will find the following:
Debian (pronounced [ˈdɛbiən]) is a computer operating system composed entirely of software which is both free and open source. Its primary form, Debian GNU/Linux, is a popular and influential Linux distribution.[1] It is a multipurpose OS; it can be used as a desktop, laptop, or server.
Debian is known for strict adherence to the Unix and free software philosophies.
I like it :) and I am so happy that I switched.... it is way faster, consumes less memory, and you can learn way more, since it is not so guided as Ubuntu, it is more suited to more advanced users, so it might be hard as a first contact to the Unix/Linux world. It really gave me headaches these days when configuring it... for instance, in Ubuntu the drivers of my ATI video card or my Intel wifi card were installed by default when installing the OS. Now in debian I had to look for them and install them myself, compiling them against the kernel, really new stuff for me. Same goes for almost every thing I had to do to configure it. But I guess it is even more rewarding.
So this is it. I am now running Debian Lenny with Gnome desktop.
Ah, one funny details about debian is the name of the different releases come from the Toy Story movie of Disney.
The code names of Debian releases are names of
characters from the film Toy Story. The unstable,
development distribution is nicknamed sid, after the emotionally unstable
next-door neighbour boy who regularly destroyed toys. (from Wikipedia)
